Introducing Our New Retreat Venue – Otterburn Castle

We’ve recently discovered a venue that felt too special not to share.

Set in the heart of the Northumberland countryside, Otterburn Castle is a beautiful, character-filled castle with a 1000 year old history, with a calm and welcoming atmosphere from the moment you arrive.

From the moment we stepped inside, it felt different. The rooms are full of charm, the surroundings are peaceful, and there’s a real sense of space, the kind that encourages you to slow down and settle in.

What makes this venue particularly exciting for us is the opportunity to create a slightly more intimate retreat experience. With fewer guests, there’s more room to spread out, more time to enjoy the setting, and a naturally relaxed pace to the days.

The sewing space is light and comfortable, with plenty of room to work without feeling crowded, and the layout of the castle allows everyone to find their own quiet corners as well as come together as a group.

During our visit, we also met the new owners, whose enthusiasm for the space really shines through. There’s a shared sense of wanting to create something warm, welcoming and memorable, which felt very much in tune with what we aim to offer through our retreats.

We are currently planning our first retreat here for Thursday 17th September, to Monday 21st September 2026. This will be a smaller group than usual, creating a more relaxed and spacious experience.

Spaces will be limited to 12 places and we’ll be offering early access to those who have registered their interest.
